working to find your truest self through the chaos.
Let’s step back and observe the rhythm of your life—the ways it may have become rigid, disjointed, or lost its flow. Experiences of domestic or interpersonal violence can disrupt your sense of safety, trust, and connection. Together, we’ll gently explore these patterns with compassion, creating space for healing, reconnecting with your inner strength, and helping you find your rhythm again.
Therapeutic Services
Interpersonal Violence and Domestic Violence
Experiencing interpersonal or domestic violence can leave deep emotional wounds, making it hard to trust, feel safe, or reconnect with yourself. Trauma therapy can offer a supportive path to healing, helping survivors understand their emotions, break free from painful patterns, and rebuild trust in themselves and others. EMDR and other trauma therapies gently process difficult memories, reducing their hold and helping survivors feel more grounded and resilient. With the right support, healing is possible—and the strength to move forward has been within you all along.
Individual
We’ll create a safe space to identify emotional patterns, heal past wounds, and build a deeper connection with yourself. By fostering self-compassion and emotional awareness, you’ll feel empowered to break free from stuck patterns, enhance emotional regulation, and ultimately create a more authentic and fulfilling life.
Trauma
Trauma can deeply affect how we live, think, and relate to others, and it often leaves us feeling stuck or disconnected. In trauma therapy, we’ll take a careful, supportive approach to process and heal the emotional wounds that continue to impact your life. Together, we’ll work to understand the root of your pain, restore a sense of safety, and help you regain control over your future.
Everyone makes sense in the context of their own story.
First Session
Rest easy knowing that booking is the most nerve wracking part. To make the process more bearable, I offer a free 15-minute phone call to see if we are the right fit.
During this call, my job is to provide a safe space to discuss goals, fears about counseling, and unmet emotional needs.
Therapeutic Process
We'll work together to break the cycle that quietly wreaks havoc on your relationships, your health, and your life. As we navigate this journey, we'll learn to reshape these patterns, turning them into powerful tools for growth and connection. In each session, our focus will be on cultivating self-compassion, easing the weight of past trauma, and allowing emotions that are both beautiful and challenging.
Our Goal
The more we face and normalize uncomfortable emotions, the more we can find a solid sense of calm well within ourselves. Our goal is to build your capacity to sit with those feelings, making it easier to manage your nervous system, communicate clearly, and make choices with confidence. When we get in tune with ourselves, we naturally strengthen our connection to others.
Take that first step.

I discovered Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) a few years ago, and it completelychanged how I understand healing after trauma and the ways we connect with others. EFT is grounded in the idea that our emotions are closely tied to our need for safety, trust, and secure relationships. For those who have experienced domestic or interpersonal violence, the emotional patterns that develop are often adaptive because they helped you survive in situations where you didn't feel safe.
But.. over time, these protective patterns can become automatic, affecting how you relate to others, set boundaries, trust yourself, and respond to stress, even after the danger has passed. EFT helps us understand these patterns with compassion rather than judgment, process the impact of trauma, and create new ways of experiencing safety and connection. Instead of focusing on what's "wrong," EFT honors the strengths thathelped you survive while supporting healing, self-trust, and healthier relationships.

In our work together, I'll use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help you safely explore and heal from past trauma. We’ll focus on the emotions that arise from those painful experiences, allowing you to process and release what’s been holding you back. Trauma often creates feelings of fear, isolation, and mistrust, but through EFT, we’ll create a compassionate space where you can gain deeper understanding and reframe those emotions. Together, we’ll build emotional awareness and strengthen your connections—both with yourself and others—so you can heal, restore trust, and break free from patterns that no longer serve you.
I also work with survivors of interpersonal and domestic violence, applying the same therapeutic approaches mentioned to help them heal and rebuild

I'm a therapist based in Maryland, working with client in Tennessee. I work with individuals navigating trauma, interpersonal and domestic violence, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the everyday complexities of being human. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported as we work toward changes that matter most to you.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy getting lost in a great TV series or movie, spending time with my cat, and sitting closely with my community. I believe healing happens through connection, with ourselves, with others, and within the therapeutic relationship.
As a therapist under supervision, I'm committed to continual learning and growth so I can provide thoughtful, evidence-based care. I strive to bring curiosity, authenticity, and compassion into every session, meeting you where you are and supporting you as you move toward healing and a more fulfilling life.

The consultation is just the starting point. During our time together, we'll explore your goals for therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and determine if we're the right fit for each other. In our first session, we'll review necessary paperwork, dive deeper into the issues you're experiencing, and begin to understand your personal history.
-
Mostly… it’s the paperwork. The first session will feel paperwork heavy, like when you’re talking to a new doctor. We’ll make sure we have everything we need to begin further sessions and I’ll ask starting questions for us to get a better understanding of your situation. For example, “How long has xxx been going on?”, “What are your goals for therapy?”. Some statements I might ask you to add to are, “Tell me about why we’re sitting together today.”, “Your paperwork states xxx, but I want to get a better understanding.”
REMEMBER: I’m here for you. This time is set aside for all your dreams, concerns, emotions, etc. You’re welcome to bring as much or as little as you need.
